What Can Robusta Do?
Compatible with kube-prometheus-stack, Prometheus Operator, and more, Robusta integrates seamlessly with Prometheus via webhook, adding a plethora of features:
- Smart Grouping – Reduce notification spam with Slack threads
- AI Investigation – Kickstart alert investigation using AI (optional)
- Alert Enrichment – See pod logs and other data alongside your alerts
- Self-Healing – Define auto-remediation rules for faster fixes
- Advanced Routing – Based on team, namespace, and more
- Problem-Detection without PromQL – Generate Kubernetes-native alerts for OOMKills, failing Jobs, and more
- Change-Tracking – For Kubernetes Resources to correlate alerts and rollouts
- Auto-Resolve – Update external systems when alerts are resolved (e.g. Jira)
- Dozens of Integrations – Slack, Teams, Jira, and more
If you don’t have Prometheus, no worries! You can use Robusta independently, or install it as part of an all-in-one Kubernetes observability stack featuring both Robusta and Prometheus.
How it Works
Think of Robusta as a detective who takes clues (Prometheus alerts) and adds layers of context — like scrutinizing a suspect’s background to build a case. Using rules and AI, Robusta enriches these alerts with relevant data such as pod logs and possible remedial actions. Imagine seeing an alert in Slack that not only tells you something’s wrong but also shows you the logs and relevant graphs to make your investigation smoother.

Installing Robusta
Robusta is installed with Helm, and we’ve made it easier by providing a CLI wizard to generate Helm values. You can install Robusta alongside your current Prometheus setup or choose the all-in-one bundle option that comes preconfigured with kube-prometheus-stack.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues while using Robusta, here are a few tips:
- Check the Helm installation for potential errors.
- Ensure your Prometheus instance is up and running and correctly configured to work with Robusta.
- Verify your Slack integrations if you are not receiving notifications.
- If alerts aren’t enriching as expected, double-check your Robusta configuration for accuracy.
